Ternium completes acquisition of plant in Rio de Janeiro

Ternium completed on September 7 the acquisition of Companhia Siderúrgica do Atlântico (CSA), which is now Ternium Brazil. The plant will integrate to the company’s industrial system and supply chain.

Ternium completed on September 7 the acquisition for 1.4 billion euros of Companhia Siderúrgica do Atlântico (CSA), which is now Ternium Brazil. The plant will integrate to Ternium’s industrial system and supply chain, which produces 12.4 million tons of steel a year and has 20,000 employees. Marcelo Chara, formerly Ternium’s industrial director in Argentina, has been appointed as CEO of the Rio de Janeiro plant.
