Second Open Air Film Festival in Argentina

Screenings will be February 14, 21 and 28. Details of the event were presented at a press conference Wednesday, February 3.

The second edition of the Open Air Latin American Film Festival of Argentina will take place February 14, 21 and 28 in the city of Constanera. This initiative, promoted by Ternium, is carried out near one of its production units in the community of San Nicolás. It counts on support from Foundation PROA in conjunction with the Cultural Office in the Municipality of San Nicolás and seeks to rescue Latin American values through film.

On Wednesday, February 3, the event was presented at a press conference to local media that included participation by Mirta Chervo, Cultural Director for the Municipality of San Nicolás, Argentina; Guillermo Goldschimdt, Project Director for Foundation PROA; and Fernando Favaro, who is responsible for Ternium Social Development in Argentina.

“We believe that film is a tool for integrating cultures in the communities where the Techint Group operates,” expressed Fernando Favaro.

For his part, Guillermo Goldschimdt mentioned that the three films to be screened were selected by considering “how to offer the community independent film products of a high quality that cannot be accessed from television or a video club.”

The festival includes cities of Houston; Bergamo, Italy; Monterrey, Mexico and Zalau, Romania; the Festival also takes place in the city of Campana, promoted by Tenaris Siderca.

Entrance to the event is free, and directors of the film screenings are from Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay.
