About Ternium in México
Code of conduct

Ternium in Méxicois a steel complex based in Mexico which boasts a highly integrated value chain.  Its activities cover a wide range of areas, from the extraction of iron from its own mines and the manufacture of steel to the production of finished products with a high added value and their distribution.

Domestic demand accounts for 80% of company sales which represent about 20% of total consumption at country level.  The company uses the Ternium network of sales offices to market its products at international level.

Ternium carries out its industrial activities right across Mexican terrain: it has a wholly-owned mining company called Las Encinas (with a pelletizing plant in Colima city); and owns 50% of Peña Colorada, sharing ownership with Ispat which has iron mines in the state of Jalisco and a pelletizing plant in Manzanillo city.  It also owns two long product manufacturing plants (in Apodaca and Puebla), two flat rolled steel manufacturing plants(both in San Nicolás de los Garza, NL), four galvanizing plants (one in Monclova, Coah., other un Apodaca, N.L., and two in San Nicolás de los Garza, N.L.), and service and distribution centres across Mexico.
