Safety is an integrated value in all our processes. Today, for World Health and Safety Day, we reflect on the actions we are taking and where we need to improve.
Our safety vision states, “We are committed to taking all possible actions to preserve the safety and health of all those who work in the company and the communities where we operate”. As a symbol of this commitment, we joined the Worldsteel Day for Safety and Health, promoted by worldsteel.

World Safety and Health Day 2025
This year, under the theme “The role of artificial intelligence and digitalization in the workplace,” it seeks to highlight how new technologies are changing occupational safety and health through task automation, the use of intelligent tools and monitoring systems, extended reality and virtual reality, and algorithmic work management.
The company is a leader in this type of developments. Just last November, it was recognized by the World Steel Association with the Safety and Health Excellence Recognition award for the implementation of automation systems in high-risk tasks in continuous casting pots.
For Marina Chiesa, Chief EHS Officer, technology is a powerful tool for safety, as it allows employees to be protected in increasingly efficient ways: “We presented a project and the entire worldsteel community celebrated it, as they share that it is the right way to make a leap forward in safety,” she emphasized.
This date is also an opportunity to reflect on the different events we have had, recognizing that changes can only be achieved by working focused and together towards our safety goals. Ternium continues, and will continue, to bet on technological innovation, process redesign and training as pillars to take care of its team and consolidate a more humane and safe industry.
